Chi is the sweetest pup who has been through the roughest start to life anyone could imagine. She was scooped up for a neutering campaign in st. Marten island to be spayed. After surgery, no foster stepped up so her and her litter mate brother were put back on the side of the road. A volunteer went by every day to give them meds and food but after just one day post surgery, she was found laying next to her deceased brother… he was beaten to death right in front of her eyes. Her incision from surgery had also gotten infected so she was in pain unbearably both mentally and physically. This is when we stepped up. We couldn’t leave her there, so we found a volunteer to fly her to Canada so we can find her a forever family. She has been slowly but surely blossoming since arriving in our care and we know she will continue to come out of her shell as she finds happiness and peace in her new life.
