Our dream, their haven

At Hope’s Haven, we believe every dog deserves a second chance at a life filled with love, safety, and belonging. We are a volunteer-run dog rescue and registered Canadian charity, dedicated to saving stray, abandoned, and abused dogs, offering them the hope and healing they deserve. Guided by compassion and a deep commitment to making a difference, we work tirelessly to match each dog with a home where they can truly thrive. At Hope’s Haven, we may be small in size, but our passion is limitless, and the impact we aim to create in every life we touch is nothing short of extraordinary.

Founders’ Story

Hope and Levon with rescued dogs on the beach
Hope & Levon 🐾

Hope’s Haven was built on a shared promise between two people whose hearts have always belonged to animals. For as long as they can remember, Hope and Levon have devoted their lives to standing up for the voiceless, supporting animal charities across the globe, and offering their hands and hearts to every creature in need.

After fate brought them together, their love for each other quickly became a partnership fueled by a bigger purpose: to rescue, heal, and give hope to as many animals as they could reach.

Hope, a professional dog trainer and founder of her own company, has spent years helping dogs and their families build trust, overcome fear, and find confidence again. She has walked alongside hundreds of dogs through their deepest struggles (fear, aggression, anxiety, trauma), helping them find their strength and joy once more.

Levon, with a lifelong passion for animals, spent years running and caring for zoos, where he dedicated himself to rescuing and rehabilitating reptiles in desperate need. While reptiles have long been his specialty, his heart has led him to answer another urgent call: the dog crisis growing all around us.

Today, Hope and Levon stand together, combining their experience, compassion, and unwavering commitment to create a true haven for dogs in need: a place where second chances aren’t just possible, they’re promised.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m interested in adopting, how do I apply?

Start with our adoption application. It takes about ten minutes. We review every submission, then a volunteer will reach out to walk you through references, a home visit, and a meet-and-greet with the dog you’re interested in.

How much is the adoption fee?

Puppies (under 8 months) are $1,000. Adults are $900. Seniors (over 7 years) are $550. Fees may be reduced depending on age and health (e.g., special-needs dogs). The fee covers veterinary care, vaccines, spay/neuter, microchipping, and safe transport.

Do I need to live in the GTA to adopt?

No, we adopt out across Canada. We’ll work with you on transport once your application is approved.
